3 special ideas to make muesli taste interesting

I am pretty sure I will surprise you with these three recipes of muesli. This is our personal invention and it became my favorite breakfast. It is especially good, because I associate it with travels.

Muesli with Orange Juice

The most common breakfast in european hotels is muesli, different fruits and toasts. In one german Hotel they offered fresh orange juice, and my hubby decided to add it to muesli instead of milk. At first it seemed to be a weird idea, but the taste was surprising! Naturally sweeter, refreshing and light! Since then there was no inconvenience related to plant-based milk absents – every hotel offers orange juice!

I just pour orange juice to my musli and add some toppings: bananas, berries, kiwi … and a pinch of cinnamon on top! It is absolutely delicious!

Muesli with “Banana Milk”

However, recently we found information, that it is not healthy to consume orange juice on a daily basis. There was research that showed that daily consumption of orange juice increases risk of the most serious type of skin cancer up to 60% … But no negative effects for eating whole oranges! There are even recommendations to eat it with skins. So, due to this fact we started to search alternatives to orange juice for our everyday breakfasts. And the best alternative we developed is – how we call it – “Banana Milk”.

So here is my video how I make it!

Basically I make a very liquid banana smoothie: for two portions I blend half of the banana with one cup of water. Sometimes I also add 10 grams of walnuts or a small piece of frozen pineapple. As a result I get milky white liquid, that makes my muesli sweet, soft, fresh and healthy!

Muesli with Beetroot

One more variation of muesli, my experiment that worked really good! The same as in the previous recipe, I’ve made my “Banana Milk”, but this time, I added a half of a small beetroot to the blender. Color is amazing, and the taste is so good! Adding beetroot makes your muesli even more nutritious and sweet – another chance to eat raw veggies! Highly recommended!
